February 21, 2022by Martin 6 On the face of it, the Asus TUF Gaming H1 is an affordable no-frills headset: like all TUF things, it's understated and has a flat black design with no RGB lighting and no fancy accents. But does that mean you should ignore it? We will use it for a couple of weeks to find out. The best gaming headsets: The best wired and wireless headsets around Surprisingly good comfort Weight: 287g When we first took the TUF Gaming H1 out of the box, we didn't think much of it. It does not look and feel underwhelming in the hand. But when you put it on your head, you'll appreciate some of the hidden pleasures of design. First of all it's really light, which means it doesn't feel like the rock is balancing on your head. This is its main selling point for us.
The Gaming H1 also has a material strap head design - very similar C Level Executive List to the SteelSeries headset - that gently rests on the head instead of any metal or plastic head. It offers a soft feel for all-day comfort that makes it easy to wear. The pods have 100% protein skin and are surprisingly large. The inner diameter of these headphones provides plenty of room – top to bottom and side to side – to accommodate larger ears. Unfortunately, they are not as deep as we would like, so there is a bit of pressure against the outside where your ear is sitting on the driver. These headphones are slightly tilted up and down so that they can be adjusted and placed over the ears in a reasonable manner. The result is a reasonable amount of passive noise cancellation, although we'll note that the foam padding isn't particularly thick.
So we experienced a great sound compared to this in the past. The design of the headgear is also very tight. Although the earcups move up and down, they don't move side-to-side, so it's awkward to adjust. The dam is also not expandable in the traditional way - instead relying on the elasticity of the fabric suspension cover and the large size of the design. But that's okay, because the outer part of the band is not only big, but also nicely stretchy and flexible. Therefore, most people will find the TUF Gaming H1 to be a perfect fit, with good clamping force and a good fit (despite the depth of those headphones anyway). Acceptable audio 40mm neodymium magnetic drivers Frequency response 20Hz-20KHz Stereo sound (or virtual environment via Windows Sonic/Dolby Atmos) Asus TUF Gaming H1 is a stereo headset with 40 mm drivers and the promise of virtual surround sound through Windows Sound or Dolby Atmos .
